The First Edition Of the Primary School Cup is an innovative addition to the chess calendar in Polokwane to encourage youth events hope to grow and have more successful events that leave a positive impact in and around the community of Polokwane.

PSC Cup 2023 had 7 schools around Polokwane participating with 14 of their learners which included both Under 13 chess players & Under 11 chess players. Below are the teams and their players participating in the 2023 PSC Cup.

The Curro Heuwelkruin team played couragers chess throughout the tournament being lead by their coach Chanae.

The Northern Academy team played impressive chess throughout the tournament being lead by their coach Florence.

The PEPPS team played Solid chess throughout the tournament being lead by their coach Malahlela.

The Mitchell House team played impressive chess throughout the tournament being lead by their coach Nkwadi Mello. Ending the season in 4th place and getting a spot in the semi-finals.

The FCPS team played instructive chess throughout the tournament being lead by their coach Mohololo Nkoana. The team placed 3rd place gettong through to the semi-Finals.

The Eagles Nest Christian School team played impressive chess throughout the tournament being lead by their coaches Willie & Ruan. As the team ended in 2nd place, and getting a spot in semi-Finals.

The PEMPS team played Outstanding chess throughout the tournament being lead by their coach Mrs Bezuidenhout. The team placed 1st place punching their ticket to the Semi-finals with style.
